Ratings run from 85 to 90, with Barcelona forward Vicky López holding the top card. What sets these cards apart is that they keep moving: their upgrades depend on how the real players perform in their domestic leagues this season. What Future Stars cards are in EA Sports FC 27
The idea is familiar. As French site GameWave’s breakdown of the Future Stars cards explains, the promo spotlights players under 23 who haven’t yet established themselves as stars, with ratings based on their potential. In EA Sports FC 27 it has arrived earlier in the season than usual, with Team 1 going live on 9 October at 6pm BST.
For a club that’s just getting going, these cards are expensive, whether you chase them in packs or on the transfer market. The fifteen Team 1 cards, position by position
Up front, Vicky López (RW, Barcelona) leads the way on 90. Mika Godts (LW, Ajax) follows on 88, ahead of Yoan Bonny (ST) on 87 and Julian Hall (ST, New York Red Bulls) on 85. According to fut.gg, Julian Hall’s card shows 89 pace, 83 shooting, 84 dribbling and 86 physical, with three-star weak foot and three-star skill moves.
In midfield, Rio Ngumoha (LM, Liverpool) is the highest rated on 89, followed by Myles Lewis-Skelly (CDM, Arsenal) on 88 and Gilberto Mora (CAM, Tijuana) on 87. Central midfielders Tom Bischof and Lily Yohannes both sit on 86, level with Lewis Hall in defence. Josh King (CAM, Fulham) and Laura Blindkilde Brown (CDM, Manchester City) round things off on 85. Seven of the fifteen cards are midfielders, the best-served area of this first wave.
At the back, Jacobo Ramón (CB, Como) gets 87, Lewis Hall (LB, Newcastle) 86 and Jon Martín (CB, Real Sociedad) 85. In goal, Lens keeper Robin Risser receives an 85-rated card. ActuGaming lists the same fifteen names and the same ratings for EA Sports FC 27.
Cards that grow with the real season
This is where the long-term value lies. According to AltChar’s rundown of the upgradable cards, each Future Stars card in EA Sports FC 27 gains overall rating if the player makes a set number of league appearances. Attackers and midfielders unlock PlayStyles+ by scoring or assisting, while defenders and goalkeepers improve through clean sheets.
Tracking began on 9 October, and the exact thresholds depend on the league and competition. The upgrades themselves won’t go live until 3 February 2027, AltChar reports. In other words, a card bought on the EA Sports FC 27 market today is worth what it shows until February, and any boost will depend on what the player does on the pitch before then.
The free Evolution for a young striker
If you’d rather not open packs, there’s another way in. According to fut.gg’s page for the Evolution, Future Stars Academy I costs nothing in coins or points. It’s built for a specific profile, so check your card before committing. It takes a striker or attacking midfielder rated 80 or below, born after 9 October 2003, with 86 pace at most and no more than seven PlayStyles.
You need to play five matches and win one of them to finish it. The Evolution works as a pathway: at each level, you steer the card towards pace, shooting or dribbling. It’s the cheapest way to get something out of the promo in EA Sports FC 27. A second Future Stars team is expected from 16 October, according to GameWave, which leaves a week to decide whether any of these fifteen cards deserves your coins.
