Every Hitbox Magazine article is free to read. No publisher, studio or brand reviews our articles before they go live, and none of them decides what we write.
Sourcing
Every important piece of information links back to its original source, named in the text: an official studio announcement, patch notes, public data from an online store. When a number comes from another outlet, we say so and link to it.
Rumors
We cover some rumors because they’re part of what’s happening in games. They’re always labeled as rumors, with the name of the person or account behind them and, when possible, what we know about their track record.
Reviews
Our reviews are based on time actually spent playing the game. We don’t write reviews from other outlets’ opinions. A review says what works and what doesn’t, and who the game is really for.
Commercial links
The site currently has no affiliate links and no sponsored content. If that changes, for example with links to game stores, every article involved will say so clearly, and any sponsored content will be flagged as such from its very first lines.
Corrections
Mistakes happen. When we find one, or when you point it out at contact@hitboxmagazine.com, we fix the article and add a note when the correction changes the meaning of the information.
